POSITION SUMMARY:
The National Account Manager is responsible for managing and growing strategic national
accounts, driving revenue, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction across key clients.
This role focuses on developing long-term partnerships, identifying new business opportunities,
and executing account-specific strategies that align with the company’s goals by performing the
following essential duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned national accounts
• Implement strategic account plans to achieve sales targets and expand market share
• Identify upselling, cross-selling, and partnership opportunities within existing accounts
• Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication, problem-solving, and responsiveness
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and customers’ needs to identify growth opportunities
• Collaborate with marketing, distribution, and product teams to tailor solutions to customer needs
• Forecast sales performance and provide regular reporting on account metrics and performance
• Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and account support
• Participate in national trade shows, conferences, and client meetings as needed
• All other duties as required
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or any related field
• 5+ years of related experience and/or training in account management, business development or sales; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Employee must be willing and able to travel approximately 25%, which will include overnight and out-of-state travel
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and have a strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication via phone, email and in-person
• Able to multi-task and remain organized while adapting to the needs of the organization
• Ability to be flexible and manage several tasks at the same time to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude
