Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for an Account Manager. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing client accounts, developing, and maintaining relationships, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This position achieves maximum sales profitability, growth and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and/or related services by performing the essential duties below.
What We’re Looking For
• 3-5 years of proven sales experience (building materials/hardware industry preferred)
• Comfortable with daily travel within your territory and 8–10 overnight trips/month
• Strong relationship-builder with excellent communication skills
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Valid driver’s license required
What You’ll Do
• Grow sales and market share by developing new business and expanding existing accounts in your territory
• Build trusted partnerships with current customers and prospective customers by understanding their needs and recommending solutions
• Solve customer challenges quickly and effectively, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business
• Stay ahead of the market by keeping informed on products, competitors, and industry trends
• Quotes prices and prepares sales contracts for obtained orders
• Develop and expand business within your assigned territory, balancing new account growth with strengthening existing relationships
• Represent our products with confidence through customer visits, product demos, and trade shows
• Partner closely with vendors and customers to deliver solutions that fit their needs
• Provide feedback to leadership on market trends, customer needs, and growth opportunities
• Travel within your territory (with 8–10 overnights per month) and occasionally to our corporate office for training and team events
